Baked in
Refers to elements that are inherently present or included in a product, service, or process. These elements are often considered integral and cannot be removed without fundamentally altering the product or process. In other words, they are an essential part of the design and cannot be easily separated from it.
One example of “baked in” in business coaching could be a focus on self-reflection as a fundamental aspect of the coaching process. Rather than simply giving advice or strategies, the coach might encourage the client to develop a deeper understanding of their own strengths, weaknesses, and motivations, which can then be “baked in” to their approach to leadership and decision-making. This self-awareness can lead to more effective and sustainable changes, rather than just superficial fixes.
