Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
A personality assessment tool that is commonly used in business and organizational settings to better understand an individual’s personality preferences and how they relate to their work and interactions with others. The MBTI is based on the work of Carl Jung and assesses an individual’s preferences across four dimensions: extraversion vs. introversion, sensing vs. intuition, thinking vs. feeling, and judging vs. perceiving. By identifying an individual’s MBTI type, organizations can gain insights into their strengths, weaknesses, communication style, and preferred work environment, which can be used to improve team dynamics, leadership, and individual development.
